FESPA Global Print Expo 2025
Berlin at the center of textile innovation and customization
From 6 to 9 May 2025, Berlin became the European capital of textile printing and creative innovation, hosting a new edition of the FESPA Global Print Expo, one of the most important international events in the sector. Over 14,000 visitors from 126 countries gathered in the exhibition halls to discover the latest frontiers of digital, screen, large-format, and—above all—textile printing and personalization.
Textile Printing: Innovation and Sustainability
One of the true highlights of the 2025 edition was the evolution of textile printing, increasingly geared toward sustainable and on-demand solutions. Companies like Epson showcased silky fabrics made from recycled cotton, while emerging brands and material manufacturers such as UFABRIK introduced eco-conscious substrates to the European market, designed specifically for fashion and interior design.
Thanks to today’s technology, it is now possible to print efficiently and sustainably, adapting to the needs of small production runs, capsule collections, or even unique, one-off pieces. This opens up an entirely new scenario for designers, stylists, and artisans—allowing them to create freely, experimentally, and consciously, without being tied to the constraints of traditional mass production.
The emerging trend? Mass personalization—made possible by new technologies that merge digital printing, AI, and smart order management systems. Today, products are no longer just “made to measure,” but also “made on demand,” ushering in a market where the customer becomes the center of the aesthetic experience.
Toward a Smarter, More Human Future
Many exhibitors focused on automation, artificial intelligence, and production flow optimization, presenting systems capable of reducing waste, improving precision, and accelerating manufacturing. The goal? To maintain high quality and customization while lowering environmental and logistical costs.
What stood out most at FESPA 2025 was a clear vision of the future—one that blends technological innovation with human value. Machines are becoming smarter, but remain tools in the hands of creative minds: designers, stylists, and entrepreneurs capable of interpreting and driving the change.
